Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data Richa Sharma ("we") collects when you shop at Huppy, why we need it, and the choices and rights you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Who is responsible for your data

Richa Sharma, Konark Elegance, Wadgaon Sheri, Pune, Maharashtra 411014, is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@huppy.co.in.

What we collect

• Order details: your name, email address, mobile number, and the books you buy.
• Delivery details (printed books only): your address, city, state and PIN code.
• Payment confirmation: payment reference numbers and status from Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank login details; Razorpay handles those.
• Technical data: basic server logs, such as IP address and time of request, kept to protect the shop against fraud and misuse.
• On your own device: your bag, saved books, checkout details and any before-and-after stress ratings from the colouring table are kept in your browser so you don't lose them. They aren't sent to us unless you place an order, and you can clear them by clearing your browser's site data.

Why we use it

• To process your payment and confirm your order.
• To email your receipt and download links, and to ship printed books.
• To answer questions and handle returns or refunds.
• To keep the tax and accounting records the law requires.
• To keep the shop secure and prevent fraud.

We use your data on the basis of the consent you give at checkout, and where the law otherwise permits, for example to meet legal obligations. We don't send marketing emails, and we never sell your data.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run the shop, each acting on our instructions:

• Razorpay, to process payments.
• Our website hosting provider, which runs the shop's servers.
• Our email provider, to send receipts and download links.
• Courier partners, to deliver printed books (name, address and phone number only).

Some of these providers may process data outside India. We may also share data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as tax and accounting laws require. We delete or anonymise other personal data once it's no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for. Download links stop working after 7 days.

Your rights

• Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
• Ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your data. We may need to keep some order records where the law requires.
• Withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn't affect processing that already happened, but we may not be able to complete an order without the data it needs.
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you're unable to.
• Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer, below. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Our books are for all ages, but purchases should be made by adults. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to place the order.

Security

The shop uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), payments are processed by a PCI DSS-compliant payment gateway, and access to order data is limited to the people who need it to fulfil your order.
